Sweet Corn Soup


Lets enjoy winter with recipe series of soups. The delicate and pleasant flavor of corn makes this a popular choice.

Makes 6 servings



Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup boiled sweet corn kernels, lightly crushed
  • 3 tbsp cornflour dissolved in 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3/4 cup grated sweet corn kernels
  • salt to taste


For Serving

  • chilies in vinegar
  • chilli sauce
Method
  1. Put 4 cups of water in a kadhai, add the corn, prepared cornflour-water mixture, salt and sugar, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Add the grated corn, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  3. Add 1/4 cup of water, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve hot with chilies in vinegar, soya sauce and chilli sauce.
