Delicious and Healthy Mushroom Soup

Mushroom Soup
Hey guys here's another soup in the my soup series, "Mushroom soup". A nutritious soup made from low calorie mushrooms and low fat milk.

Serves 4.


  • 3 cups thickly sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 tsp plain flour (Maida)
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • 1 tsp oil
  • salt and black pepper (kali-mirch) powder to taste

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan, add the onions and sauté for 1 minute. Sprinkle a little water if the onions start burning.
  2. Add the plain flour and mushrooms and fry for some more time.
  3. Add milk and stir continuously till no lumps remain. Allow to cook.
  4. When cooked, purée till smooth. Add 3 cups of water, salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer for another 3 to 4 minutes. Serve hot.
