Delicious Chana Poha

A simple breakfast made of poha and kabuli chana which is full of energy and protein to keep you going for the day.

Preparation Time: 10 mins.
Cooking Time: 20 mins.
Serves 4.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups poha (beaten rice)
  • 1/3 cup kabuli chana (white chick peas)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 1 tomato , chopped
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • salt according to taste


For garnish

  • 2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
Method
  1. Wash and soak the kabuli chana for about 6 hours.
  2. Pressure cook the kabuli chana. Drain and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and green chilli and saute till the onion turns translucent.
  4. Add the tomato and cook for a further 2 minutes.
  5. Add the kabuli chana, lemon juice and salt and mix well. Remove from the fire.
  6. Sprinkle some water on the poha to moister it and add it to the kabuli chana mixture.
  7. Mix well and garnish with the coriander. Serve hot.
