Guard Kofta

Ingredients
  • Guard - 1 medium size
  • Besan - 4 tbsp
  • oil for frying
  • Salt - 1 tsp

Ingredients for Gravy
  •  Coriander powder - 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Water - 1.5 glass
  • Jeera - 1 tsp
  • Hing - a pinch
  • Green chilly - 4 (fine chopped)
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
  • Tomato - 4 medium size
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Green coriander leaves - 2 tbsp (fine chopped)
Method
  1. Peel the guard (lauki) and grate (kaddukas) it.
  2. Add besan and salt.
  3. Make small balls of the mixture and fry it in oil till golden.
For Gravy
  1. Chop the ginger.
  2. Take pan and add 1 tbsp oil in it.
  3. Put jeera in it. Add chopped ginger and green chilly.
  4. Put chopped tomato in the mixture.
  5. Stir it continuously, when the oil removes the edge of pan then put curd, and all spices.
  6. Stir them for 2-3 min and then put water and kofta.
  7. Cook for 5-10 min.
  8. Pour it in a dish and garnish it with green coriander leaves.
