Guard Kofta
Ingredients
- Guard - 1 medium size
- Besan - 4 tbsp
- oil for frying
- Salt - 1 tsp
Ingredients for Gravy
- Coriander powder - 2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
- Water - 1.5 glass
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Hing - a pinch
- Green chilly - 4 (fine chopped)
- Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
- Tomato - 4 medium size
- Curd - 1/2 cup
- Green coriander leaves - 2 tbsp (fine chopped)
- Peel the guard (lauki) and grate (kaddukas) it.
- Add besan and salt.
- Make small balls of the mixture and fry it in oil till golden.
- Chop the ginger.
- Take pan and add 1 tbsp oil in it.
- Put jeera in it. Add chopped ginger and green chilly.
- Put chopped tomato in the mixture.
- Stir it continuously, when the oil removes the edge of pan then put curd, and all spices.
- Stir them for 2-3 min and then put water and kofta.
- Cook for 5-10 min.
- Pour it in a dish and garnish it with green coriander leaves.
